  • Fairport Harbor Marine Museum Lighthouse.
    May  23, 2025 – Opening Day 2025, at noon (200th Anniversary).
    (Opening Day noon with the re-dedication of the USS Michigan Mast.)
    The Fairport Harbor Marine Museum is the first Great Lakes Lighthouse Marine Museum in the State of Ohio , as well as the United States.Visit website for hours. The museum, which also has a small gift shop, is located at 129 Second St., Fairport Harbor, OH 44077. Website here.

    2025 – 86th & final Fairport Mardi Gras
    Opening parade kicks off at 5pm. Fireworks show at dusk, which have historically been the biggest draws to the lakefront event. Entertainment and food vendors will be at Mardi Gras from 6-10 p.m. on Lighthouse Hill and the Metroparks Roundabout – the celebration also marks the lighthouse’s bicentennial.

    Annual Lake Metroparks Pirate Triathlon Paddle Triathlon
    Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park • Race begins 8 am.
    500M swim or 2K kayak, 20K bike and 5K run.
    Fun and safe for the first-time triathlete. Race begins at 8 am. *Processing fee applies
