Rules – Policy


Cooperation, Safety & Courtesy makes for a wonderful boating experience.

  1. Any person who is visiting or leasing properly from Grand River Marine at no time will verbally slander or become disorderly, causing any employee, any other leassee or person visiting Grand River Marine to believe that he or she Is being intimidated or in fear of physical harm.

  2. Motor vehicles on the Marina properly shall not be operated so as to cause unnecessary dust and in no event shall speed exceed 5 miles per hour. 

  3. The discharge of firearms and /or fireworks on Marina property is strictly Forbidden.

  4. Pets shall not create any nuisance on Marina premises, which may annoy Marina members (barking, etc.) and shall not be permitted in the buildings at any time. Owners shall be totally responsible for the actions of their pets on Marina premises. Pets shall be at all times under complete control of the owner and shall be on a leash while traversing Marina grounds, going to, in, and returning from the exercise area designated by the Marina. Owners shall be prepared to and effect removal of excrement as necessary.

  5. Waste and refuse shall not be dropped into the river or elsewhere on marina grounds, but must be deposited in containers provided by the Marina for this purpose.

  6. Parents shall be responsible for the strict control and close supervision of the conduct and behavior of their children while in the buildings or on marina property.

  7. Key cards are non-transferable, and any abuse of the keycard system shall be brought to the attention of our employees.

  8. Parking of trailers on Marina property is prohibited except in areas designated for that purpose.

  9. Members must be present when their guests are on Marina property or on the members* boat and shall be personally responsible for the conduct and safety of their guests. All guests* cars shall be parked in designated areas.

  10. Dock boxes shall not exceed dimensions of 4′ high, 3′ wide and 4′ long, picnic tables shall not exceed 30 square feet (top surface area).

  11. Where a parking space is available immediately opposite or immediately adjacent to a dock, this space is reserved during the boating season for the boating member assigned to the dock on the basis of one space per member.

  12. No riding of bikes, roller-bladding, or roller skating permitted.

***ANY INFRACTION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS CONTAINED HEREIN OR AS POSTED IN THE OFFICE OF THE GRAND RIVER MARINE SHALL, AT THE OPTION OF THE GRAND RIVER MARINE, CANCEL ANY LEASE AGREEMENT UPON TEN (10) DAYS NOTICE, AND THE TENANT SHALL REMOVE HIS BOAT FROM THE HARBOR AND PREMISES.
